We all have difficult times in our lives. Some issues are too difficult to resolve on our own without more tools. My goal is to teach you the tools you need to build resiliency and learn to manage those difficult times with someone walking beside you the entire way. I primarily use cognitive behavioral techniques though your treatment plan is tailored to fit your individual goals and needs. My ideal clients are individuals, families, and couples who want to take charge of their issues through a learning process in therapy. You don't have to solve your difficulties alone.
My treatment begins with an in depth assessment to understand your goals, strengths, and desired focus. Based on that first visit, I would inform you how I propose to help. If you are comfortable, we would schedule weekly or biweekly sessions. I provide recommendations throughout.
I have worked in mental health fields for over 20 years. I have worked within culturally diverse settings and with people from many socieconomic statuses. I am trauma informed. The impact of trauma can affect physical and emotional wellbeing without us even knowing it. Should you choose my practice, I provide respectful, thoughtful care.
