Individuals of any age experiencing difficulties with psychosocial and environmental factors affecting diagnosis, treatment and/or prognosis of mental disorders. These factors may include a negative life event, an environmental difficulty or deficiency, a familial/other interpersonal stress or an inadequacy of social support and/or personal resources. Our clinicians strive to provide the necessary tools and education to help individuals cope with and manage daily stressors. "A desire to be in charge of our own lives, a need for control, is born in each of us. It is essential to our mental health, and our success, that we take control." - Robert Foster Bennett
Specialties include clinical assessments, diagnoses and treatment of children, adolescents and adults in the areas of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Diversity, gender, and multi-cultural issues are considered for all age groups. In children and adolescents, we help connect feelings to behaviors and distinguish these behaviors between normative developmental transitions and deviant developmental patterns.
Carolina's Creative Counseling, PA is a small family-centered practice with six licensed and specialized clinicians. Individualized treatment plans are designed to identify the necessary resources and natural supports needed to ensure success. We use a process-oriented approach to empower individuals and focus on the strengths, interests and needs of those individuals.
