Our therapists work with adults, children and families. I personally specialize in the following childhood and adult disorders: Anxiety; Depression; Addiction; ODD; OCD; ADHD/ADD; Autism; Foster Children; Grief and Loss; Marital/Partner Relationship issues; Trauma; Transgender/Transitioning and Gay/Lesbian issues. I typically utilize a CBT approach, however I am skilled in all treatment models. While working with children I work closely with the parents. I am a recognized Positive Parenting/Family Rules coach and utilize a Family Systems Model approach with intact, blended and extended families. I facilitate collaborative divorce, mediate child custody and provide co-parenting.
My treatment interventions are carefully thought out combining research based proven interventions for rapid symptom reduction and I collaborate, when necessary, with psychiatrists, physicians and alternative practioners on psychopharmacology or natural remedies. I can weave your religious/spiritual beliefs into your interventions upon request.
Our environment is safe, very private, relaxing and comfortably located in a beautiful historic home in New Wilmington. Client's are invited to share a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and select a book from our library while in our waiting area. Your well being and positive treatment outcome is our primary concern.
