People come in to see a psychologist for so many reasons - grief and loss; depressed mood; PTSD and exposure to trauma; relationship difficulties; anxiety; obsessive and compulsive tendencies; self-defeating behaviors in love and work; minority issues (ethnic, racial, religious, LGBT). They are tired of feeling the way they do, approaching life and relationships in the same way, and want a change. Psychotherapy can help you to feel differently; view yourself, your relationships, and your life in a different way; and ultimately live life in a more fulfilling and intentional way.
Emotionally honest and engaged, respectful and with integrity, Dr. Zayco provides evidence-based psychological services grounded in theories on development, attachment, and relationships. Ongoing post-graduate level training in a contemporary psychoanalytic relational approach informs a specialized psychological treatment of depression and anxiety stemming from developmental and relational trauma.
Dr. Zayco provides psychological evaluations for general mental health conditions, as well as pre-surgical bariatric psychological evaluations. Dr. Zayco also provides psychological consultation to medical practices who wish to expand their behavioral support services to patients dealing with medical conditions negatively affected by stress and lifestyle.
