My approach to therapy is to meet my clients "where they are" and help them learn what they can control versus what they can't control. I help adolescents and adults solve the tough problems they face individually as well as struggles that arise in families, couple relationships, and the workplace. I focus on solutions, strengths, and skill-building in people's lives.
My style is gentle but direct and interactional. You will feel safe from the beginning, as I am supportive, respectful, and non-judgmental. I provide counseling to people struggling with anxiety, depression, conflict issues, low self-esteem, unresolved emotional pain, grief, divorce adjustment and an array of other life challenges.
I use Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychology, Transactional Analysis, Solution-Focused Therapy and other techniques to help clients move out of unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting and discover how to create a more healthy and happy existence.
